Dr Eisenbart is perhaps the most famous travelling doctor of the Baroque period. He was, however, unfairly made out to be a charlatan and quack in the famous satirical song – but nonetheless became the eye doctor to the Prussian court. Today, Doctor Eisenbart and his helper Pickelhäring regularly greet visitors on a tour through the city of three rivers and heal the aches and pains of participants with a touch of humour.
