Volksbank Arena Harz Mountains

74 mountain bike trails covering 2,200 kilometres and 59,000 metres in altitude across three federal states. This is the description of the Volksbankarena Harz Mountains (Volksbank Arena Harz Mountains) in northern Germany’s number one biking region.

The Volksbankarena Harz Mountains’s network of cycle routes includes a total of 74 clearly signposted mountain bike trails in the Lower Saxon districts of Goslar and Osterode and in Sachsen-Anhalt and Thüringen. Among these, exciting cycle trails such as the Höhenfieber (High Fever) trail or the Wild Man’s Trail await. Families and beginners will also get their money’s worth on the Kleine Wasser-Tour (Little Water Tour) or the Kleine Mönchsrunde (Little Monk’s Circuit). The diversity and magnitude of this biker’s paradise are impressive, opening up an area of more than 40 x 40 kilometres. 24 Harz Mountains locations inspire visitors to embark on a mountain biking tour: on the northern slopes of the Harz mountains in Goslar or in Südharz (southern Harz Mountains) in Walkenried, from Seesen in the far west and in Thüringer Südharz (Thuringia, Southern Harz Mountains) or the district of Harz mountains in Sachsen-Anhalt (Saxony-Anhalt) to the far east of the Volksbankarena Harz Mountains (Volksbank Arena Harz Mountains).

If you prefer not to take your own mountain bike, you can hire your preferred model at the Outdoor Center Harz Mountains in Clausthal-Zellerfeld. The centre also has electric mountain bikes available for hire.
