Around 100 varieties of herbs are grown on the 5,000 square metre Stapeler Kräuterfeld herb garden by amateur gardeners and herb lovers in Stapel. Visitors can look around and pick their own herbs on this pasture for bees, bumblebees, butterflies, etc. Three beekeepers in the village tend to around 12 bee colonies. There is also a small stand selling dried herbs, herbal extracts, seeds and honey from the small affiliated Bioland honey farm.
