The Fellerei

The Fellerei, a former brewery in the Upper Harz, was used as a guest house for many years and then gradually converted to a hotel.

Kirsten and Tobias Feller acquired the property in 2016 and lovingly renovated it, stylishly furnishing its twelve rooms with great attention to detail. The basic ingredients of their style are understated design, vintage and a dab of colour.

Each room is as unique as the house itself, and represents a play on old and new, first- and second-hand, reconditioned and natural, playful and unconventional, imaginative and hand-crafted. These are rooms with a soul – something that defines the entire house and its grounds.

The result is a lively place to unwind and simply be, whether alone or with other guests, in the house, the courtyard and the garden. Creative dishes featuring regional cuisine seasoned with love and passion are served in cosy dining rooms with a range of bigger and smaller tables.

Guests in the Fellerei can feel both at home and on holiday – pampered in the house, which is an ideal base from which to explore the Harz region.

From here you can hike to your heart’s content in both summer and winter and go cross-country skiing, jogging, cycling or swimming in the lake.

The small but perfectly formed spa at the Fellerei offers yoga, massages and a sauna. It’s simple but has everything one needs.
