The Südheide circular route takes you to the most beautiful landscapes and most important sights of the Südheide. You cycle to blooming heathland, blue lakes and large moors. Always following the signs, you will cycle along the Elbe Lateral Canal, for example, to the stage destinations of Gifhorn, Wahrenholz, Wittingen and Bernsteinsee, where you will spend the night. The four stages are mostly flat and quite short with lengths between 25 and 40 kilometers. This leaves plenty of time to enjoy nature and discover the destinations. In addition, cafés and inns with regional specialties invite you to take well-deserved breaks along the way.
The circular route leads over around 130 kilometers to the most beautiful destinations in the Südheide Gifhorn.

Directions
- From Gifhorn, the route goes via Winkel, Neubokel, Wilsche and Gamsen to Wahrenholz. The tour continues through the "Heiliger Hain" heathland via Repke and Oerrel to Hankensbüttel and on to Wittingen. Shortly after Knesebeck, the route crosses the Elbe side canal to Stüde at Bernsteinsee and on to Tankumsee and from there back to Gifhorn.
Equipment
A bicycle helmet should be part of your gear for the tour. It's a good idea to bring snacks for the ride.
