Outside the grounds of the International Mill Museum, on the corner of Lüneburger Straße and Konrad-Adenauer-Straße, stands a replica of a Scottish mill. Affectionately christened "Lady Devorgilla", it is used by the town of Gifhorn for weddings and is therefore also known as the white wedding mill. The windmill blades only turn when a couple says "I do". The original is located in Dumfries, Gifhorn's Scottish twin town.
