Alongside the Wadden Sea – a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site – Niedersachsen is home to three more outstanding entries on the UNESCO World Heritage list: St Mary’s Cathedral and St Michael’s Church in Hildesheim, the Rammelsberg Mines, the historic Old Town of Goslar and the Upper Harz Water Management System, as well as the Fagus Factory in Alfeld.
