The East Frisian tea ceremony

East Frisia's favourite drink is not simply consumed, it is a truly celebrated ceremony. The leaves must steep properly, the rock sugar must crack when poured over, the spoonful of cream must form little peaks – then it's time to pause, enjoy and sip. In tea rooms, guests can enjoy a cosy, traditional tea time, as they can in the tea museums in Norden or Leer.
