Leer

Leer is a cross between a modern mid-sized town and a quaint, welcoming holiday resort. The beautiful historic town hall is the town’s landmark and forms a picturesque backdrop with the nearby harbour. The Old Town, with its quaint little shops, lovingly restored buildings and various museums offers a multitude of sights. The long pedestrianised precinct with its pretty shops is perfect for a stroll, and the restaurants and cafes are filled with inviting treats. Another attraction is Leeraner Miniaturland, where you can discover the whole of East Frisia in miniature over an area of 1,200 m². The outdoor area features impressive parkland, a remote-controlled garden railway and a crazy golf course. Leer also offers many other recreational opportunities by bike, on foot or by boat. The well-signposted cycle network offers easy excursions of lengths to suit you.
