D-Route 3 - Cycling in Lower Saxony

Experience Germany’s Diversity

This tour is suitable for: Touring

Discover Germany by bike from west to east on D-Route 3 through Lower Saxony, the German section of Europaradweg R1.

The route leads from the Dutch border through the Weserbergland and Harz mountains, all the way to the Polish border.

In both regions you can expect gentle hills that offer one magnificent view after another out over meadows and forests. Colourful half-timbered towns and imposing palaces and castles with intriguing and impressive historical backgrounds take cyclists on a journey into bygone days. This route makes for truly great cycling tourism.
