On the Machandel Nature Trail, explorers of all ages can experience the unique natural beauty of the Lüneburg Heath.
 
From Oberhaverbeck through Wilsede to Döhle: Nestled amid the unspoiled nature of this car-free nature reserve, the 11-kilometer Heath Adventure Trail invites the whole family to get involved and explore. 

• 20 stations for playing, discovering, and getting involved 
• Children can easily reach, read, and interact with all the elements
• Park at the visitor parking lot in Oberhaverbeck, or hike from the Döhle parking lot toward Wilsede to discover lots of new things
• An informative brochure and a coloring sheet are available for this adventure trail; on the coloring sheet, you can collect stamps at each station—you’ll find these at the VNP nature information centers, in the museum shop in Wilsede, or at the Heath Museum “Dat ole Huus”

Tip: From the starting points in Oberhaverbeck and Döhle, it’s 5.5 km to the historic heathland village of Wilsede. You might enjoy taking a leisurely ride on one of the horse-drawn carriages that operate there.
