Heidemuseum Wilsede
ErlebnisCard Discount: 1 € off the admission price per person
The old heathland village of Wilsede lies in the heart of the Lüneburg Heath Nature Reserve. There you’ll find the old heathland museum “Dat ole Huus,” which offers a realistic glimpse into life on a heathland farm around 1850. There’s no chimney here; cooking was done over an open fire. People and animals shared the same roof. Learn the origins of expressions like “Plackerei” or “einen Zahn zulegen.” The admission fee also includes a visit to the Emhoff sheep barn, which features rotating exhibitions on the Lüneburg Heath. The museum is operated by the VNP Foundation for the Lüneburg Heath Nature Reserve.
Wilsede is a small village with just 40 residents in the heart of the nature reserve, accessible only by horse-drawn carriage, bicycle, on foot, or on horseback from Ober-/Niederhaverbeck.
