Wilseder Berg - View as far as Hamburg

The Wilseder Berg is the heart of the heath and, at 169.2 metres, the highest mountain in the North German Plain. On a clear day, the view reaches as far as Hamburg. Look forward to the sheer endless expanses of heath that you can enjoy with the view from its summit. A sunset is a very special experience.

The Wilseder Berg is one of the first plots of land in today's nature reserve that the well-known heath pastor Wilhelm Bode from Egestorf acquired for the Verein Naturschutzpark e.V. (VNP) in 1910. To this day, the Lüneburg Heath Nature Reserve is one of the first and largest in Germany.
