On the trail of Hermann Löns in the Winkel district of Gifhorn

The local poet Hermann Löns was already familiar with the natural beauty around Winkel and was inspired by it for his works. Following in his footsteps, the signposted themed trail leads you through woodland and heathland to the traditional sheepfold and the Gifhorn Heath nature reserve.

The Naturlehrpfad Gifhorn-Winkel runs partly along the Hermann-Löns hiking trail.

Safety guidelines

Cyclists, horse riders, joggers and walkers like to use paths and areas that are primarily used for agricultural and forestry purposes. This often leads to misunderstandings between recreationists and farmers. Observing simple rules of conduct can facilitate relaxed coexistence in fields and meadows. Please show consideration for each other!
