Rattenfänger-Figurenspiel am Hochzeitshaus

Other architecture, infrastructure, culture destinations
Every day, the tragic story of the Pied Piper unfolds at the west gable of the wedding house – in a fascinating miniature format and accompanied by music.
Sequence of the Puppet Show At 1:05 PM, 3:35 PM, and 5:35 PM, the bronze doors open, and the Pied Piper begins his rounds. The audience experiences his story: from freeing the town from the rats to the disappearance of the children.
Historical Background The puppet and carillon, which was destroyed during the war, opened its doors for the first time again on October 4, 1964. The music is by Jürgen Langehein (1923-1992). The figures were designed by Harro Siegel (1900-1985) and crafted by Walter Volland (1898-1980).
Musical Accompaniment Additionally, the Weserlied is played daily at 9:35 AM and the Pied Piper song at 11:35 AM over the carillon at the west gable of the building.
