Museum
A round house of the writer and 1st Worpswede tour guide Edwin Koenemann, which now serves as a museum for Worpswede arts and crafts.
Built in 1926 by Edwin Koenemann according to plans by architect Bruno Taut, the Käseglocke served as a residential building until 1993. In 1996, the Freunde Worpswedes e.V. acquired the house and the 2,500 square meter wooded area, which is a listed building together with all its outbuildings. In the unusual roof-only house, the association presents examples of the arts and crafts produced in Worpswede on two floors. These include furniture and sculptures by Heinrich Vogeler, Bernhard Hoetger, Otto Meier, Wilhelm Wagenfeld and many other artists. The association attaches great importance to ensuring that the Käseglocke continues to have the appearance of a residential building.
