Directions
- The starting point is the Geestemündung in Bremerhaven, a historic district where shipyards once lined up. The renovated Wencke Dock still bears witness to this era and is also the oldest preserved dry dock in Germany. The tour continues with the Weser ferry from the pier in Bremerhaven to Nordenham on the North Sea peninsula Butjadingen. Via Blexen, the route continues along the North Sea dike, past the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park to Burhave. The North Sea lagoon in Burhave offers an ideal resting place. So dive into the cool water of the seawater bathing lake, independent of ebb and flow. It continues always along the coast via the town Langwarden to Eckwarderhörne, the southern tip of the North Sea peninsula Butjadingen. The beach in Eckwarderhörne is considered a secret tip and el dorado for windsurfers. A good view of the Jade-Weser Port in Wilhelmshaven and beautiful sunsets are possible here almost daily.
Equipment
- In summer, you should have enough to drink with you. Rain gear should be taken at any time of year. A touring bike is the ideal companion.
