The most beautiful Rundlinge on a bike route, that is definitely what the Wendland-Tour offers. Around the Nienhofer Forest it connects numerous Rundlinge typical for the Wendland.

The Wendland-Tour takes you past round villages with mysteriously sounding names like Waddeweitz, Satemin, or Kukate. They recall the Slavic origins of the Rundling villages. The Slavs, also called Wends in northern Germany, once settled the land between Elbe and Drawehn and spoke their own language, Drawänopolabian. At the Rundlingsmuseum in Lübeln, the history of the Rundlinge and the life and work of the people over the past centuries come alive and are experienceable again. Today, it is the Wendlanders who shape and make their round villages and towns loveable. The small half-timbered town of Lüchow, through which the family-friendly Wendland-Tour leads you, offers a harmonious backdrop that invites you to linger. Numerous artists, craftsmen, and musicians have also discovered the Wendland for themselves and enrich the life of this varied natural and cultural landscape with their cultural diversity. A visit to the open studios is worthwhile!

The Rundling village of Satemin was completely rebuilt after a fire in 1850 and is particularly nice to see!
