From the Weser into the enchanted hinterland of Polle, this quality tour leads through dense forests and bright expanses, past sights and magnificent views. The trail combines village life and small-scale farming with the solitude of the forest in a special way. The view from the well-preserved Poller castle ruins, which were first built in the 13th century as Everstein Castle. The view from the well-preserved ruins of Poll Castle, first mentioned as Everstein Castle in the 13th century, extends far into the idyllic Weser valley and down to the well-frequented Gierseilfähre ferry, which has been in operation since 1905. On the way from civilization to the relaxing tranquillity of the Habicht Valley, you can hear the lively babbling of the Spiekersiekbach stream as it makes its way past the Knickmühle mill.

From the direction of Hameln or Holzminden via the B 83 to Polle.
Castle Polle/Car park at the Weser.
By train to Hameln or Emmerthal, then continue by bus line 520 to Bodenwerder-Im Hagen. There change to bus line 520 towards Holzminden. Get off in Polle at the stop "Unter der Burg". From Holzminden station, take bus line 520 to Polle - Unter der Burg.
