The first 5-mast water ski lift between the Harz Mountains and the Heide region opened at Salzgittersee in 2005. Here, visitors can enjoy water skiing, wakeboarding, trick skiing, monoskiing, and pairs skiing.

Water sports enthusiasts can glide across the lake at a top speed of up to 58 kilometers per hour. The circuit is 780 meters long. New since 2017 is a small beginner’s circuit that is also well-suited for children. Since the summer of 2020, free Wi-Fi has been available around the lake under the name “freeWIFISalzgitter.”

Anreise
Take the A39 to the Salzgitter-Lichtenberg exit. Then follow the signs to Salzgittersee.

Parken
You'll find free parking around Salzgittersee, including near the water ski facility (WEST parking lot).

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
The nearest bus stop is "Salzgitter-Fredenberg, Eissporthalle." Salzgitter-Lebenstedt has a train station connected to the regional rail network.
