The Kunsthalle Osnabrück is located in the Gothic hall church of a former Dominican monastery, which was built around 1300. Today, it houses constantly changing exhibitions by a wide variety of artists and is also an artistic performance space. Outstanding contemporary art exhibition projects can be seen here. Sculptures, installations and objects that stand in a spatial relationship to the Gothic hall church showcase positions in contemporary art. Each year, the program is based on a theme - this year it is Romanticism.
In addition to event formats and workshops, the Kunsthalle aims to create platforms in solo and group exhibitions in which the site-specific context of the Kunsthalle experiences contemporary visibility and participation through integration with intersectional, interdisciplinary, diverse and queer positions.
