Feuerwehrmuseum Hameln-Pyrmont
The Hameln-Pyrmont district fire service association has been running a fire department museum in the Hameln-Pyrmont district fire department technical center since 1984. The museum was significantly enlarged and extensively redesigned in 2008/2009. On 150 m², the documents and equipment in the collection bear witness to the dangerous activities and technical development of fire department equipment.
Marvel at the fire department and fire protection over the centuries!
In addition to alarm equipment and radios, extinguishing agents, breathing and gas protection equipment, operational and service clothing, founding documents, decorations and many unusual and rare exhibits can be viewed. Several screens also show original films of fire departments at the beginning of the 20th century, operational exercises from the beginning of the Third Reich and much more.
