Guided nature tour
Go on a bird-watching tour aboard the Watt'n Express "Frida".
The coast of Friesland is under the watchful eye of the WAU—at least as far as its birdlife is concerned. The members of the WAU know the area exceptionally well and are aware of which birds are currently where. On this excursion, you’ll be taken to the best observation spots aboard the little train affectionately known as “Frida.” During the ride and on short walks, you’ll be shown and told about the birds found both inside and outside the dikes along the way—from the brambling and the golden plover to the horned lark and the ringed goose. The use of spotting scopes guarantees a fascinating close-up view.

Organizer: Wangerland National Park Center, Scientific Working Group for Nature and Environmental Conservation (WAU e. V.)
Equipment: If available, please bring your own binoculars. Windproof and, if necessary, rainproof clothing is recommended. Subject to wind and weather conditions.
Accessibility information: Short distances will be covered on foot across the dike and on unpaved paths.
