Naturpark Steinhuder Meer

In the Steinhuder Meer Nature Park, you can experience recreation and nature conservation in perfect harmony. Well-maintained paths lead you through the water, moorland and species-rich meadows without disturbing sensitive habitats. You can enjoy the tranquillity and diversity of this special natural area while hiking, cycling or relaxing and exploring.

Around 18 percent of the 420-square-kilometre park is a nature reserve, more than half of it is a landscape conservation area. Numerous viewpoints and adventure trails offer a protected view of animals and plants.
