The second stage of the alternative route of the Weser Cycle Path runs from Höxter via the Hämelschenburg to Hameln and is just under 75 kilometers long. Highlights include the UNESCO World Heritage Site Corvey and the Hämelschenburg.

In the historic old town of Höxter with buildings from the Weser Renaissance, you begin your cycling route. Typical features of the Weser Renaissance are the fan rosettes and carvings, which you can also discover at your destination in Hameln. Outside the town, the Weser Cycle Path passes the UNESCO World Heritage Site Corvey. A visit is worthwhile to see the architecture and splendid interior examples. Then you follow the Weser to Holzminden. Here you have the opportunity to charge your e-bike or take a break in the town of scents and aromas. The route continues past Heinsen to Polle Castle, where you cross to the other side of the Weser by the cable ferry. The route continues past Reileifzen, where you can enjoy the view over the river landscape while reclining before continuing through picturesque landscapes to Bodenwerder. A visit to the Baron Münchhausen, the liar baron, is a must. The cycle path runs directly along the Weser to Grohnde, where you cross the Weser by passenger ferry. Shortly after Emmerthal, you visit the magnificent and fairy-tale Hämelschenburg, which is still completely preserved in its architecture. After a short visit, you cycle on an asphalted path next to the road to your destination Hameln.
