From the start, take the August Müller path to the Mecklenbruch raised bog. This is crossed on a wooden boardwalk. At the high ropes course, turn sharp right and follow Schießhäuser Straße to the next intersection. Then turn left down Torfhüttenstraße to the B 497. Shortly before the federal highway, turn left onto the hiking trail at B 497. After 250 m the highway is crossed, and it goes downhill through the Mühlengrund to Fohlenplacken. In the village center, turn right and then immediately left again. The hike leads up the Kohlgrund to L 549 and continues along it to Neuhaus. From here continue on Derentaler Weg and later turn left downhill to Ahlequelle. Then the B 497 is crossed and on the right side parallel to the highway on Ahlequellenweg the Neuhaus wildlife park is reached. Over the path by the horse paddock it goes to the oak avenue. Follow this right uphill to the Trakehner Weg. Over this path it goes downhill to Dölmeweg, turn left towards Neuhaus and then behind the stud farm wall turn right up Ludwig-Ilse-Weg to the Hochsolling tower. Over LiebesBankWeg, past Moosberghütte, over Annemonenweg back to the start.

The starting point is the parking lot at the exit of Silberborn towards Dassel. From here, take the August Müller path to the Mecklenbruch raised bog. This nature reserve with unique flora and fauna is crossed on a wooden boardwalk. The path continues through a tall forest to the high ropes course. There, turn sharp right and follow Schießhäuser Straße to the next intersection. Then turn left down Torfhüttenstraße to B497. Shortly before the federal highway, turn left onto the hiking trail at B 497. After about 250 meters, cross the highway and continue downhill through the Mühlengrund to Fohlenplacken. In the village center of Fohlenplacken, turn right and immediately left again onto hiking trail N 4 above Fohlenplacken. The hike leads up the Kohlgrund to the state road 549 and follows it further to Neuhaus. From here continue on Derentaler Weg and later turn left onto hiking trail N 1 downhill to Ahlequelle. Then cross B497 and on the right side parallel to the highway on Ahlequellenweg the Neuhaus wildlife park is reached. From here, continue over the path by the horse paddock to the oak avenue. Follow this right uphill to Trakehner Weg. Over Trakehner Weg it goes downhill to Dölmeweg, turn left towards Neuhaus and then behind the stud farm wall turn right up Ludwig-Ilse-Weg to the "Hochsolling lookout tower." From here, take LiebesBankWeg, past Moosberghütte, over Annemonenweg and through Silberborn back to the starting point.
