The hiking route "op de olen Weeg" (Low German; On the old way) leads into a landscape of meadows, forests, and the idyllic village of Flögeln. Highlights of the route are the historic cobblestone pavement and the megalithic tombs.
The hiking route can be combined with the signposted Prehistoric Trail.

Mosquitoes, horseflies, and other bloodsuckers feel very comfortable in the moor. Wearing long clothing also provides good protection in summer.
