The 114 km long circular tour mainly runs along quiet moorland roads and secluded farm tracks. Large areas of moorland, some of which reach right up to the road, the Oste-Hamme Canal and the green lowlands of the Oste River characterize the route, as do small villages, old half-timbered houses, historic churches and mills. And although it passes through the larger towns of Bremervörde, Selsingen and Gnarrenburg, it conveys a feeling of vastness and remoteness. A road bike tour that invites you to take a deep breath and slow down.

Detailed route:
The 114 km long circular tour follows in the footsteps of nature and starts in Bremervörde, a town that is famous for its location on the Oste river and the Vörder See offers a unique variety of landscapes.
We start at the train station and follow the short access route to the Nordschleife. Our first destination takes us in a westerly direction on well-maintained paths to the village of Hesedorf, six kilometers away. We continue to Ohrel on a cycle path next to the country road, which is lined with lush meadows and fields. This is a great section to enjoy the varied, vast northern German landscape with its remnant farms to the full. From there we cycle to Selsingen. This somewhat larger town is known for its picturesque St.Lamberti church, which is located close to two inns - perfect for a short break.
After a short stop, the route leads along roads with little traffic via Granstedt to Eitzmühlen with its famous water mill, which is located directly on the Oste river. The route continues to Ostereistedt, a village with typical North German farms. From here, the tour winds its way via Rhadereistedt and Hanstedt to Breddorf and on to Gnarrenburg. The Oste-Hamme-Kanal, through which the cut peat was once transported to Bremen on peat barges, flows through the municipality, which lies in the middle of the mysteriously shimmering Teufelsmoors. The route continues past old peat extraction areas to Oese, Barchel and Hipstedt. From here, the northern loop leads through the Hinzel forest to Alfstedt, the northernmost point of this route.
The last few kilometers we cycle through a gently undulating Geest landscape and past the Höhne forest back to Bremervörde. In Bremervörde, the town's cozy cafés and restaurants offer the perfect opportunity to take a final break and reflect on the impressions of the Nordschleife. Stretch your legs at the nature and adventure park on Lake Vörder, which is lovingly designed and offers many sensory impressions with the World of the Senses.
