From stone to stone, the Hümmling Pilgrimage Trail takes you through the Hümmling region

From stone to stone leads the Hümmlinger Pilgerweg with a total length of 92 km in 5 stages as a circular route through the Hümmling region: plaques with sayings attached to erratic boulders the pilgrim encounters them at regular intervals as stations for inner contemplation and to take time for God, nature and the Emsland blue sky. As food for the mind and soul, they are a central component of the Hümmlingen pilgrimage route. Away from the hectic pace of everyday life, new thoughts and insights can can grow. Perhaps these new insights are just a small souvenir for everyday life everyday life, but perhaps also the beginning of a change to a new way of life.

A special feature of the Hümmlingen pilgrimage route is the signposting, which is unique. Boulders with an attached stainless steel cross and integrated directional arrows show the pilgrims the way. This type of signage was specially developed for the Hümmlinger pilgrimage route and creates a link between typical regional natural features and the theme of pilgrimage.
