Discover Einbeck’s historic ramparts on an easy circular route that brings town history, greenery and gentle movement together. The walk follows the former fortifications around the old town, offering a relaxed way to experience Einbeck beyond its well-known half-timbered façades. The route is particularly suitable for families, casual walkers, joggers and Nordic walkers. Its asphalt surface makes it comfortable in different seasons and accessible with a pushchair, while cyclists can also use the route with ease. Dogs are welcome too, making it a practical choice for a short outing with plenty of variety. Along the way, quiet green sections alternate with views towards the historic centre. The flat course keeps the focus on the surroundings rather than the effort, making it ideal for a spontaneous walk, a morning run or a gentle winter stroll. Cultural interest comes naturally here: the ramparts tell of Einbeck’s past as a fortified town, while the route’s circular layout makes orientation simple. Compact, accessible and rich in local character, this tour is a rewarding introduction to Einbeck’s urban landscape and a pleasant invitation to slow down, look closer and enjoy the town from a different perspective.
