Passenger Ship FGS Steinhude

The passenger ship FGS Steinhude has been navigating the waters of Lake Steinhude since its construction in 2006 at the KuFra shipyard in Lübeck. Built for the Steinhuder Motorboot-Betriebs-GmbH, this modern aluminium vessel combines technical sophistication with passenger comfort. Its hydraulic lift at the bow ensures barrier-free access, making it easily accessible for wheelchair users and families with prams alike. Designed for both round trips and private events, the vessel regularly hosts scenic cruises, evening excursions, and charter journeys across the largest lake in Northern Germany. Guests can enjoy the serene beauty of the Steinhuder Meer from different perspectives – whether from the spacious salon, the sheltered upper deck or the open-air sun deck. In total, FGS Steinhude accommodates up to 120 passengers, allowing everyone on board to experience the tranquillity of the water and the surrounding natural panorama. Measuring 25 metres in length and 5.6 metres in width, the ship glides smoothly across the lake at a cruising speed of around eight knots, powered by two five-blade propellers delivering 185 kW each.
