Lüneburg Museum
Lüneburg Museum opened its doors to visitors in March 2015. It originated from the merger of two museums: since then it has housed the exhibits of the Nature Museum (which closed in 2010) and the Museum of the Principality of Lüneburg.
It provides information on the nature, cultural history, and archeology of the region in seven sections. The common thread is the interaction between man and nature. With around 1,300 unique exhibits, the history of the town and region is told from antiquity to the 20th century.

Aus der Innenstadt kommend, erreichen Sie das Museum vom zentralen Platz „Am Sande”. Dort halten zahlreiche Busse des ÖPNV. An der St. Johanniskirche vorbei über die Altenbrückertorstraße, ist das Museum direkt am Wasser nicht zu übersehen.
Sie finden das Museum in der Willy-Brandt-Straße 1 in 21335 Lüneburg.
Einige gebührenpflichtige Parkplätze befinden sich in direkter Nähe des Museums in der Wandrahmstraße. Mit dem nächstgelegenen Parkhaus, dem Parkhaus Stadtmitte am Wasserturm, hat das Museum Lüneburg eine Kooperation: Museumsbesucher erhalten einen Parkrabatt und zahlen nur 4 € für eine Parkdauer von 3 Stunden.
Das Parkhaus am Bahnhof, das Parkhaus Münzstraße und das City Parkhaus sind über kurze Wege zu erreichen. Für kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten müssen im allgemeinen etwas längere Wege in Kauf genommen werden.
Einen kostenfreien Behindertenparkplatz finden Sie im Anlieferungsbereich an der Längsseite des Gebäudes an der Willy-Brandt-Straße (bitte Ausweis sichtbar im Auto platzieren).
Kommen Sie aus dem Stadtgebiet oder der Umgebung Lüneburgs und möchten mit dem Fahrrad zu uns kommen, so finden Sie ein großes Angebot an Fahrradstellplätzen auf dem Museumsvorplatz. Bei schlechten Witterungsverhältnissen steht Ihr Fahrrad in den Fahrradparkhäusern am Bahnhof trocken.

Das Museum hat an dem Informations- und Bewertungssystem „Reisen für Alle" teilgenommen. „Reisen für Alle“ ist die bundesweit gültige Kennzeichnung im Bereich Barrierefreiheit.
