The St. Marienberg monastery dates back to the end of the 12th century. Visitors can tour the monastery, church and treasury with its unique paraments. The former chapter house is home to the treasury, where the monastery's precious medieval textiles are on display.
In addition to prayer, one of the most important tasks was the production of textiles for the holy places in the church. The precious medieval textile collection bears witness to the deep piety and great craftsmanship of the nuns. Guided tours of the convent are a special way of bringing visitors closer to the convent - Christian values, legends, symbols and stories of salvation are conveyed. The convent, the flat-roofed Romanesque convent church and the treasury with its precious medieval textiles are open to visitors.
