Bergbau- und Salz-Museum in der Saline
Bad Salzdetfurth owes its status as a climatic health resort to salt, where everything revolves around the "white gold" from the earth. The modern museum in the salt works brings the journey of the mineral from the underground tunnels to the surface to life for the whole family. In addition to 500 exhibits, one of the highlights is a reconstructed mining tunnel that simulates the journey underground for all the senses. And in the expert animal area, you can even find out how salt crystals can be grown.
The Mining and Salt Museum is certified as a KinderFerienLand Niedersachsen operation and therefore stands for a particularly family-friendly experience.
