Your health vacation
Nature has endowed Bad Salzdetfurth with the valuable remedies brine and moor. The first bathhouse was built back in 1856 to use the mineral-rich brine for healing purposes. The town's tradition of serving health, wellness and well-being is based on this. Brine and moor, these two natural healing powers - combined with physical therapies, careful and individual care - are the best basis for recovery, recuperation and regeneration.
The center of the spa treatments is the TherapieZentrum on the edge of the spa park with the mighty graduation towers. You can also take advantage of massages, physiotherapy and wellness treatments such as hot stone massages. In addition to bathing fun in the 450 m² outdoor pool, the indoor and outdoor saltwater pool also offers an attractive sauna world, which includes a Kelo earth sauna, a Kelo hexagonal sauna, a Finnish sauna and a Roman steam bath.
Leisure activities
Bad Salzdetfurth is a particularly rewarding destination for hikers. The network of trails around the spa town includes 11 well-signposted circular hiking trails. The 44 km Sölter Trail is designed for long-distance hikers and can of course also be completed in stages. Entry and exit points are mainly located at the stops of the Lammetalbahn and enable a quick return to the starting point of the tour.
Sights
As you can guess from the name, salt is firmly linked to the town's history. Until 1992, potash mining dominated life in Bad Salzdetfurth. In addition to the graduation house, the Bad Salzdetfurth Mining and Salt Museum is one of the sights.
The Bodenburg Castle, whose origins date back to the 10th century, forms the center of the Bodenburg district of Bad Salzdetfurth. The landscaped park below the moated castle is open to the public every day until dusk.
