The Arcona Hostel in Wilhelmshaven is an extraordinary place to stay on a former naval ship directly on Bontekai. The 66-metre-long steel ship was put into service in 1958 and extensively renovated in 2021 to serve as a modern hostel. Today, it offers 21 cabins with a total of 52 berths, which are divided into 2- and 4-bed rooms as well as a luxurious 2-room cabin. The rooms are furnished in a functional and maritime style, with portholes or windows offering a direct view of the harbor. Shared showers and toilets are located on the main and lower decks.
