On the banks of the Ems-Jade Canal, you will pass through smaller and larger villages and historic locks. On the tour, you will experience three different types of landscape in East Frisia: the marsh, the geest and the moor. A relaxed hike in a mostly flat landscape awaits you. Discover the lakes (seas), the transition to the marshes, the inland dykes and "climb" the Geest, the highest landscape type in East Frisia. Turntables are positioned along the route to indicate your location and guide you to local points of interest.

- The Kunsthalle Emden owes its existence to the founding couple Henri and Eske Nannen. In 1986, STERN founder Henri Nannen opened a house for his collection, mainly modern art. Since 2000, a donation from Munich gallery owner Otto van de Loo has expanded the collection of post-1945 art. The Kunsthalle regularly hosts special exhibitions by well-known artists.
 - In 1977, after extensive renovation, the Aurich local history association turned the Stiftsmühle into a specialist mill museum. Visitors can experience up close and visibly on five floors how the power of the wind was harnessed to generate energy centuries ago. The Kreuzkirche Marcardsmoor is the oldest church in Wiesmoor and was built in 1907. The church on the moor invites you to visit and is an eye-catcher from the outside as well as the inside. The paddle and pedal station in Friedeburg at the watermill bridge offers an opportunity for a stopover. Equipped with overnight accommodation, sanitary facilities, a kitchen and a barbecue area, you can watch the canoeists in a great atmosphere or go on a short canoe trip yourself.
 - An attractive sight in Sande is the cultural and historical Altmarienhausen estate with the Marienturm, the Marienstübchen and the Küsteum. It still has parts of the building from the time of the pleasure palace of the lady of the manor, Miss Maria zu Jever. Next to the tower is the Marienstübchen, a cozy café. The unconventionally designed exhibition at the Wilhelmshaven Coastal Museum presents a wide range of topics relating to the past, present and future of the coast. In a research laboratory integrated into the exhibition, visitors can go in search of clues themselves and learn about archaeological research methods.
