How were the Germanic tribes able to defeat the Romans in the Varus Battle more than 2000 years ago? How did they live and what do the archaeological finds in Kalkriese tell us about the past? Young and old alike will get answers to these and other questions on a family tour of the permanent exhibition at 14:00. And we will try out: how different is modern armor from the armor of antiquity? In the hands-on program that follows, children can design a candle jar with mosaic stones.
The special family tour is included in admission. Children under the age of six are admitted free of charge.
