POPSALON - Lùisa
TODAY AT THE CHURCH OF PEACE: LÙISA
LÙISA is a seeker - of light in the shadows, of strength in chaos, of magic in a world that often feels disenchanted. With her fourth album "Call Me The Witch", the Hamburg-based artist transforms anger into energy, pain into beauty and vulnerability into power. In her small wooden studio in Hamburg, she has not only rediscovered her voice, but also her craft as a producer. The sound she creates there is hypnotic and multi-layered - carried by floating synth pads, dark 80s guitars and driving drums. It is reminiscent of Kate Bush, Cocteau Twins or Fleetwood Mac, but remains unmistakably LÙISA: present, free and full of self-confidence. Her songs revolve around female rage, self-empowerment and resistance - and yet they are never bitter, but glow from within. LÙISA knows how to use darkness to create something radiant. When she sings: "I want to be the kind of woman that men are scared of when they go home, alone, in the dark", it is not a threat, but a magic spell - a call for self-determination. She was awarded the Female Producer Prize* for her visionary work. But more important than awards is what her music embodies: Independence, courage and the quiet power to reinvent oneself.
