Mühlentag im Ammerland
Traditionally, every year on Whit Monday in the Ammerland, everything revolves around mills, as historic windmills open their doors to visitors on "German Mill Day" and offer a unique insight into traditional mill technology and the history of mills in the region. Mills have shaped the image of the region for centuries. Today, many of these mills have been lovingly restored and are maintained by associations and local history enthusiasts. Mill Day is a reminder of the important role of mills in the region and brings together people who are passionate about the traditional miller's trade. Anyone visiting the Ammerland region should not miss this day!

The mill has a functional grinding gear for grinding and a pan grinder, which is used to produce oil. The wings of the mill are 11.20 meters long, the total height of the mill up to the ridge of the cap is 21 meters. The Heimatverein Bad Zwischenahn is looking forward to your visit!Good to know
