The Day of Home at the Bad Zwischenahn Open-Air Museum

Bad Zwischenahn is known for its lively traditions and strong sense of home. As part of the Bad Zwischenahn Week, the "Day of Homeland" traditionally takes place on Thursday. On this day, everything around the Ammerland farmhouse revolves around regional culture, customs and the community of locals and visitors. Old crafts such as blacksmithing, basket weaving and wood carving are demonstrated live - as well as historical costumes and dances. Traditional eel smoking is of course also part of the experience. If you want to experience the real Ammerland with its customs, language and specialties, you shouldn't miss this special event.
