Mittelalter am Meer in Dangast
Medieval Times by the Sea from August 21-24, 2024 and August 28-31, 2025
The Frisian Market Guild and the North Sea Resort Dangast Tourism Service invite you to the "Medieval Times by the Sea" on Dangast beach from August 21-24 and August 28-31, 2025. On this weekend, the hordes of the Middle Ages invade Dangast, taking visitors on a journey back in time, and warriors/maids populate the area.
While strolling through the army camps and across the market, the medieval hustle and bustle with jugglery, trade and crafts and the best food and drink will delight visitors.
For the youngest and the young at heart, there is playful entertainment everywhere with medieval games.
A medieval carousel for the little ones will also be there this year.
"Shadow's Corner" and "Speellüe" will provide musical entertainment over all four days.
On the second "Mittelalter-am-Meer" weekend (28.-31.08.2025), the cult band "Katerfahrt" will once again be performing a spiced pirate folk concert (Sa, 30.08.2025) on the large market square on the beach. They leave their home port in Düren and sail across all the world's oceans to moor up here in Dangast and perform their musical skills. It's worth it!
Every evening, visitors can round off the market in the bathing tub, at the taverns and food stalls.
Curious? The market opens its doors from Thursday evening at 6.00 pm and on all other days from 11.00 am. In the evening between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. it comes to an end and the market closes.
A colorful program for young and old.
