In Zeven, fall always means that countless lanterns light up the town’s downtown area. On October 30, 2026, it’s that time of year again, and the Zeven Lantern Festival will take place. The Friends of the Zeven Volunteer Fire Department e.V. and Zeven’s business community are teaming up to organize this wonderful evening, creating a cozy atmosphere in the town center and offering plenty of activities and surprises.
The gathering point for the lantern parade will be in front of Garten Meyer in Kattrepel starting at 6:30 p.m. Here, you can enjoy drinks and grilled sausages to refuel. As always, the “Rote Funken” marching band and fanfare corps from Ostervesede will provide the musical accompaniment. The lantern parade begins at 7:00 p.m. and, after a tour through town, ends back at the starting point. Along the route, Zeven’s business owners have once again come up with some fun activities and invite everyone to join in the games and stick around afterward.
