Das Gold des Meeres - Bernstein-Workshop für Kinder
At the Amber Workshop, you’ll polish a piece of amber by hand under expert guidance and learn all about this beautiful beach find. This process results in truly one-of-a-kind pendants, which the children are, of course, allowed to take home.

Amber is often found on the beaches of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. The Romans called amber the “gold of the sea” and held it in very high regard as both a gemstone and a healing stone.
In our age-appropriate workshop, led by an expert, we’ll first explore the unique characteristics of this million-year-old amber. Can amber—as fossilized resin—float? How can you even tell if it’s real amber? To answer these questions, we’ll conduct various experiments and examine insects trapped inside the amber. The golden-colored amber also inspires creativity.
By carefully sanding and polishing under guidance, the children can reveal the unique beauty and variety of colors within a piece of amber.
The price includes the cost of materials for a necklace.
