Cloister in the evening with barbecue buffet - public guided tour

Embark on a fascinating journey back in time to the Middle Ages and stroll with us through the Walkenried cloister, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Once a place of silence and contemplation, reserved exclusively for Cistercian monks, today the monastery opens its doors for a special tour. In the soft evening light, you will hear the stories of the men of God who lived, prayed and worked here.

After the tour, enjoy a summer barbecue buffet on the garden terrace of the monastery café or - depending on the weather - in the refectory, the monks' former dining room. Suitable for adults and children aged 10 and over.
