“Airport Wattenmeer” – Discover Migratory Birds – Guided Tour on Land
Adults and children ages 12 and up

Keep your eyes peeled, grab your binoculars, and go birdwatching.
The Wadden Sea is a breeding and resting ground for many birds.
The mudflats are considered a hub for East Atlantic bird migration. Twice a year, “long-distance migrants” stop here to feed on their way from their breeding grounds in the Arctic to their wintering grounds in Africa. The Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, is a true paradise for birds.
Join our certified national park bird guide to observe the autumnal diversity of birds in the Bensersiel mudflats. Hundreds of birds gather there at high tide. Curlews, oystercatchers, ducks, geese, and gulls—as well as surprise visitors and chance visitors.
Binoculars are an excellent way to spot and identify these globetrotters. A spotting scope brings these feathered friends closer so you can observe them at close range in peace.
