Bogs, Art, and Cycling Pleasure – Recognized as an ADFC Cycling Destination

Along quiet paths by rivers and canals, through vast moorlands, marsh meadows, and sparse forests: The Teufelsmoor cultural landscape is ideal for exploring by bike. As an officially certified ADFC cycling region, the area offers a network of bike paths spanning approximately 640 kilometers, consistently signposted routes, and a convenient junction system for custom tours.

Eleven certified loop tours lead to unique natural and cultural experiences—from the artists’ village of Worpswede through idyllic Geest villages to scenic viewpoints in the Hamme lowlands. Along the way, cyclists encounter the unique light of the moorland, quaint cafés, small museums, galleries, and the traditional peat barges on the Hamme River.

Whether it’s a day trip or a cycling vacation: In the Teufelsmoor Cultural Region, nature-based relaxation, cultural discoveries, and cyclist-friendly services combine to create a cycling experience with a special character.
