The Grasmoor forms an impressive ecological diversity in a very small area and has been designated as a nature reserve since 1937 as a remnant of a formerly widespread dune and moor heath landscape. Along the approximately 5-kilometer hiking trail, information boards provide information about nature conservation and landscape history in the Grasmoor.
