Road bike route 3 - The big Cuxland route

The start of this RTF is in front of the bike shop Rad&Tour in the Lotsenviertel Cuxhaven, Schillerstraße 45. Along Schillerstraße in one-way direction, at the end turn left onto Alten Deichweg and then over the slipway under the pedestrian bridge and over the bascule bridge. The new building on the left is the Maritime Safety Center. After the bascule bridge turn right onto Kapitän Alexander Straße, then at the Havenhostel turn right onto Neufelder Straße. After the railroad crossing turn right onto Tamms Trift and cross another railroad crossing diagonally left and immediately right again. At the traffic light go straight into Papenstraße and after the church turn left onto Alte Marsch. Follow the street Alte Marsch until the Sandweg branches off to the right. The Sandweg becomes Friedhofstraße and bends right to then meet Alten Weg. Follow this shortly left and just behind the church turn left again onto Altenbrucher Bahnhofstraße. At the intersection turn right onto Wehldorfer Straße. At the 90-degree curve turn right into Assel and at the next opportunity leave it to the left. On main road Müggendorfer Straße turn right and then leave left onto Norderteiler Weg. Upon reaching the dike turn right and after crossing both locks turn left onto Prof. Carl Langhein Weg over the dike. Here you get a beautiful view of the Unterelbe. Ride down the dike again and follow the canal for a long time. On the federal road briefly turn left then immediately right into Bahrdorf street. Follow Bahrdorf through all curves until the federal road comes again. Take it briefly to the left and leave immediately to the right. Drive through Belum on Deichstraße and keep following the dike. After a while you can find a kiosk at the water skiing facility (cross the dike for this, see signs). At the end of the dike make a 180-degree turn to the left and follow the road into the dike foreland. Now you come to the Natureum Unterelbe and the Oste barrier dam. Please observe opening hours. Cross the Oste barrier dam and continue straight on the road. In the village Hörne at Gut Hörne (coffee table), follow Elbdeich West street to the left. Drive this road very far until Eschweg branches to the right. Follow it and cross the main road. At the end turn right onto Landesbrücker Straße. Continue straight for a long time until you can turn right onto Kajedeich. Drive on Kajedeich to the first intersection and take the left Bruchweg here. Follow it until you reach a main road. Make a 180-degree turn to the right here and follow Schwarzenmoor. At the Hasenfleht dairy follow the main road to the left. The dairy offers regional milk specialties. Shortly before Oberndorf turn right onto Bentwisch and then cross the Oste Bridge. Here there is a beautiful view of the Oste. Turn right onto Bahnhofstraße until the federal road. Take it briefly to the right and immediately leave left again. Follow Molkereistraße, later Mühlenstraße. Later this street is called Dobrock and Weißenmoor. Leave Weißenmoor street to the right onto Süderbusch. Later this street is called Westerhamm, though a street with the same name branches off to the left. Follow this to Zollbaum and then turn left. Follow the street until you can turn right onto Aue street. Follow this path. At the end there is a curve to the left and the street becomes Sprenge and later Dorfstraße. In the village Osterbruch turn left into Süderende at the village shop. At the village shop there are sandwiches and drinks (lunch break 12:30 to 15:00). Continue on Süderende until it turns right into the street to Pedingworth. Leave Pedingworth to the left onto Kolkstraße and at the end in Neuenkirchen turn right onto Dorfstraße. Drive through the village on Dorfstraße and when you reach the main road follow it briefly to the right and then leave it to the left into Katthusen street. This street is later called Döringwoth, Osterende, and after Lüdingworth village Lüdingworther Straße. Shortly before the highway bridge leave Lüdingworther Straße to the right onto Wetternweg. At the end of the way turn briefly right and immediately left onto Von Seht Straße. At the end turn left onto Cuxhavener Chaussee and just after the church turn left onto Abschnede. From Abschnede turn right onto Mittelteil street. Leave Mittelteil street at the main road to the left and follow Papenstraße until you can turn right onto Meyerstraße. Follow the street past the train station and at the second intersection after the station turn right onto Deichstraße. Leave Deichstraße to the left onto Mittelstraße and then take the fourth cross street Grüner Weg to the right to return to the start/finish.
