The Panorama Trail is a picturesque hiking route and starts at the sports field in the charming village of Vardeilsen, a district of the historic town of Einbeck. The route is ideal for nature lovers and anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable hike.
Breathtaking views over the surrounding villages of Einbeck to Ahlsburg Castle, far into the Leine Valley to Northeim and over Bartshausen to the impressive Selterklippen cliffs await you along the way.

Directions
- The panoramic trail begins at the sports ground in Vardeilsen. From the starting point, the trail first leads uphill towards Kohnsen. This first ascent offers a beautiful view of Einbeck at the edge of the forest.
The trail continues along the stone quarry in the direction of Bartshausen. You can discover the Bartshausen war memorial on this section of the trail. The barbecue hut in Bartshausen, which is located directly on the path, also invites you to take a short break.
Above Avendshausen, the path winds through the landscape and offers views as far as Ahlsburg. After the path takes you above the quarry in Avendshausen, stone towers with a bench await you a few hundred meters further on - an ideal place to take a break. Passing the water house, the trail then leads downhill to Avendshausen.
At the end of Avendshausen, there is a beautiful old lime tree with a bench. The path then leads uphill again towards the Avendshausen barbecue hut - which is also perfect for a break. Continue to the forest, where beautiful paths along the edge of the forest await you.
A view to the left opens up a view of Einbeck, the Ahlsburg and numerous wind turbines. To the right, on the other hand, you can see Amelsen, behind which the Solling can be seen.
After this impressive panorama, you finally head downhill back to the starting point in Vardeilsen. Route markings
- Der Weg ist beidseitig beschildert. Folgt dem Wegezeichen „PANORAMAWEG“ mit dem Fernglas-Symbol, und ihr werdet sicher auf dem richtigen Weg bleiben.
Equipment
- Gut ausgerüstet mit festem Schuhwerk und etwas Proviant lässt sich der Panoramaweg in etwa drei Stunden ganz entspannt erleben.

Parkt direkt auf dem Wanderparkplatz vor dem Sportplatz 37574 Vardeilsen.

Von Einbeck kommend fahrt ihr stadtauswärts auf der Hannoverschen Straße und biegt dann in Richtung Vardeilser Landstraße nach Kohnsen ab. Folgt anschließend der L546 bis nach Vardeilsen.
Im Ort fahrt ihr auf der Avendshäuser Straße weiter Ortsauswärts in Richtung Avendshausen. Kurz hinter dem Ortsausgangsschild biegt ihr rechts ab und gleich darauf wieder links zum Sportplatz Vardeilsen.
Hier befindet sich der Wanderparkplatz mit einer Starttafel zum Wanderweg auf der linken Seite.Public transportationÖPNV:
Von Einbeck aus ist Vardeilsen mit der Linie 253 (Einbeck – Negenborn) erreichbar.
Ausstieg: Haltestelle Vardeilsen - Kohnser Straße.

Die Landschaft rund um den Panoramaweg steht in enger Verbindung mit dem Gesteinsabbau – außergewöhnlich, aber auch sensibel.
Daher gilt:- Bleibt bitte auf den markierten Wegen, achtet auf die Beschilderung - vor allem im Bereich der Steinbrüche (oberhalb von Vardeilsen und Avendshausen) - und haltet Abstand zu den Abbaugebieten.
- Betretungsverbote sind unbedingt zu beachten – diese dienen sowohl eurer Sicherheit als auch dem Schutz der Natur und der Betriebsflächen.
- Das Betreten von Böschungen, Abbruchkanten oder gesperrten Flächen ist streng untersagt.
